Victor Laxman has just made a post on the DRC forums for the first time in 3 years:

A couple of my security sensors were tripped about an hour ago (around 1:20 Cavern Time).

I know it has been a while since we've talked, but none of you had mentioned any upcoming plans to visit the Cavern. Did I miss a memo?

If it wasn't any of us, we definitely ought to look into it. Unfortunately, I cannot get away from my surface duties in the near future.

Anyone have time to go?

I know it is probably nothing, but still... well, you know.

Lynnutte has started a Questions for Cyan thread at the Myst Online forum. Neither she nor the rest of the Guild of Messengers knows if or when Cyan will be able to answer questions, but we wanted to get the proverbial ball rolling now, and try to keep all of peoples' questions in one discussion thread.
